Hyundai Motor’s All-New Tucson is predicted to have class-leading residual values, according to new studies by independent automotive intelligence organisations across Europe.
The analysis, undertaken in the region’s top five markets, also suggests the new compact SUV will retain around 8% more of its original price after a three-year period compared to its predecessor. Research was carried out across Germany, Italy and Spain by EurotaxGlass's, in France by leading publication L’Argus, and in the UK by CAP Automotive. All of the reports forecast impressive residual values for the All-New Tucson, expected to be one of Hyundai’s best-selling models in Europe. The evaluations reflect its excellent perceived quality, appealing design and high levels of comfort and convenience that contribute to its everyday usability.
Combined, the studies predict that on average the All-New Tucson will retain 49% of its original price after three years, an improvement of 8% compared to the previous model. The studies show that the All-New Tucson outperforms the C-segment average in the top five markets by retaining 2.4% more of its value over the same period.
The residual value forecasters identified key areas where the All-New Tucson excelled. These included Hyundai’s unique Five Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty which reinforces the perception of quality; class-leading interior space complemented by high standard of cabin comfort; and smart convenience features that contribute to excellent everyday usability – including the Smart Power Tailgate and reclining rear seats.
The All-New Tucson also scored highly for its exterior design, with researchers rating the emotional appeal and desirability of the new model above that of its competitors. They noted that its aesthetic appeal is likely to attract a broader range of potential buyers in future.
With the All-New Tucson we have taken a big leap forward in design and technology, which we now know contributes to its enhanced residual values. Alongside our Five Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty, the forecast for values enhances an already compelling long-term ownership proposition for our customers.
