Hyundai Motor Celebrates Quality Service at 12th World Skill Olympics

Hyundai Motor held its 12th Hyundai World Skill Olympics at its Technical Training Center in Korea.
Since 1995, Hyundai Motor has held the biennial Skill Olympics to test and celebrate the very best service experts from the company’s networks around the world.
The latest edition of the World Skill Olympics, which began on October 16, 72 service personnel from 53 countries gathered to demonstrate their techniques and share knowledge with colleagues from other markets. The Olympic-style event encourages colleagues around the world to reach the same high standards of service while enhancing the brand image.
For 22 years, the Hyundai World Skill Olympics has been a fantastic opportunity for our colleagues from around the world to work together and find new ways to improve our service quality. This is one of many initiatives we conduct, that aims to give our service personnel the latest skills to provide all our customers with the very best service and improve customer satisfaction in all markets.

The competition features a range of practical evaluations of engines, electrical devices, chassis and other components, as well as a written exam. Following the tough series of challenges, Lawson Puho from Australia was named as the leading Hyundai Motor service technician in the world, receiving the gold medal as the competition’s overall winner. 
It is a great honor to be recognized as one of the best Hyundai Motor service experts globally. The level of competition was so high and featured some highly skilled colleagues, so it was an immensely proud moment when I discovered I had won. I learned a lot from my fellow competitors that will help me continue to provide the best possible service and expertise to our customers.
