Press material

All-New H350 is powered by 2.5Lfour cylinder, 2497 cc CRDi turbo diesel engine, longitudinally mounted at the front and driving the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

The A2 engine is offered with a choice of standard power (110 kw / 150 PS) and high power (125 kw / 170 PS), delivering 373 Nm and 422 Nm of torque respectively. Both versions generate maximum torque in the most-used rev-band, between 1500 / 2500 rpm.

The powertrain has been carefully engineered and tuned to maximize drivability when fully laden across a broad range of driving conditions. The smooth-shifting six-speed manual transmission is fitted with a spread of gear ratios designed to fully exploit the available engine torque and ensure a smooth ride for occupants. Customers can choose from two final-drive ratios (3.538:1 or 3.917:1), and all models feature a ‘high’ sixth ratio (0.679:1) to maximise fuel economy.

Superior ride comfort and driving dynamics

To tune the H350’s ride and handling specifically for the European market Hyundai’s LCV test fleet drove more than five million kilometres during extreme weather conditions across Europe, Scandinavia and Russia.

H350’s suspension has been engineered to deliver a comfortable ride (regardless of load), accurate handling and responsive driving dynamics. The front suspension features independent MacPherson struts, a horizontal leaf-spring, gas shock absorbers and a stabiliser bar to optimise side-loading and minimise lean-in during cornering. At the rear, two parabolic springs (four on the Bus), gas shock absorbers and stabiliser bar ensure a low loading height while still accommodating heavy loads without significantly affecting the ride height.

The rack and pinion steering has hydraulic power assistance and provides a city-friendly tight turning circle – just 12.9 metres for the LWB model.
