In it, the all-new IONIQ 5, the new electric vehicle with “Vehicle-to-Load” technology that allows bidirectional charging, powered the treadmills of Luis Suárez, Jan Oblak and Marcos Llorente.
Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology allows the car's powerful 800V battery to function as a 110/220V electrical outlet for electronic devices, in this case Atlético de Madrid’s treadmills.
The V2L function, which turns the car into a “charger on wheels”, can be used for any electric device, such as scooters and electric bicycles, demonstrating how versatile and useful this technology can be.
This video shows a fun and original training session featuring Atlético de Madrid players Luis Suárez, Jan Oblak and Marcos Llorente:
During this training session, the treadmills were connected to IONIQ 5, which, thanks to its V2L technology, provided power to enable the players perform their exercises.
With a 350 kW charger, IONIQ 5 can charge from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes, providing 100 km of range after around five minutes.
The family car, which offers a range of 480 km, goes on sale at a time when demand for electric cars continues to grow.
