Press material

Hyundai Motor unveiled the New Generation Santa Fe at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, and it’s gone down well with members of the international press. Here’s how they reacted to it.

1. The i

British newspaper The i recently road-tested the New Generation Santa Fe, and praised Hyundai’s new SUV for its “smart new look”. It also remarked that there is plenty of cargo space inside for passengers, and pleasant to drive.
The dash display is pleasantly modern, there’s no shortage of storage and it’s a quiet, easy drive.

2. Auto Express

Car magazine Auto Express praised the New Generation Santa Fe for offering new technology and a “sharp redesign” and an “aggressive look”.
The British publication praised the Santa Fe’s sporty credentials, noting that its “roof spoiler injects a bit of sporting appeal”.

3. Autocar

Automotive website Autocar reported that the New Generation Santa Fe boasted “a bold new look, uprated technology and two new engine choices”.
Discussing the Santa Fe’s advanced safety features, it said: “technology takes a step forward over the previous model, with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Departure Warnings all standard on the new car”.

4. Auto Motor und Sport

German website Auto Motor und Sport was impressed with the New Generation Santa when it set its eyes upon it in Geneva, praising the positioning of its control panels and infotainment screen.
The distribution of control panels in the Santa Fe is quite ergonomic, and the infotainment screen is perfectly placed at the top of the centre console.

5. Motorionline

Italy’s Motorionline was impressed with the New Generation Santa Fe and enthused about its design, including the “modern and elegant line”, and also had warm words for its technical features.
Compared to the previous generation, the car is bigger and richer at a technological level, especially with regards to its driver assistance systems.

6. Quattroruote

Another Italian publication, Quattroruote, acknowledged that the New Generation Santa Fe – now in its fourth edition since debuting in 2001 - represented an evolution of the design and engineering of its predecessors.
[The New Generation Santa Fe] is aesthetically more contemporary with the introduction of various elements, such as the two-tiered arrangement of the front headlamps and the large Cascading Grille… The innovations are not just limited to design, but also regarding the mechanics, with the adoption of the new electronically-controlled all-wheel drive system.

7. Elmundo

Spain’s Elmundo noted that the New Generation Santa Fe features an interior of seven seats as well as a new large multifunction screen which allows drivers to manage the multimedia system. The publication stated that the vehicle features a “more attractive design” than the previous model, drawing comparisons to another of Hyundai’s models: the All-New Kona.

8. Cars Guide

Popular car website Cars Guide recently reviewed the New Generation Santa Fe, and praised its updated design, bigger cabin and array of advanced safety features, awarding it an 8.3-out-of-ten rating.
The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe 2018 model has all the hallmarks of being a brilliant flag-bearer for the brand as its largest SUV.
