Hyundai Motor Europe has welcomed Ella Mills to Team Century as part of its contribution to Hyundai Motor’s ‘Goal of the Century’ global sustainability campaign. The campaign program aims to support FIFA World Cup 2022 in the run-up to the fully carbon-neutral event, as well as being part of Hyundai’s mission to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045, neutralising CO2 emissions at all stages of its production and operation.
To drive the ‘Goal of the Century’ campaign, Hyundai Motor introduced Team Century, an all-star team of supporters from the worlds of football, music, art, photography, fashion and food that will promote various environmental and social sustainability projects throughout 2022. As part of Team Century, Ella Mills will guide and inspire people to try out plant-based food as a more sustainable choice without sacrificing on taste.
Ella Mills is the founder and driving force behind the deliciously ella plant-based food brand and platform, which advocates for a sustainable and simultaneously healthy life. She founded the popular deliciouslyella.com recipe website in 2012, before writing the New York Times-bestselling deliciously ella cookbook in 2015 and launching a chart-topping app.
She has since released a further four best-selling books, created the deliciously ella podcast, launched a diverse range of plant-based food products into supermarkets, opened a restaurant in London, grown and developed the app into a wellbeing and recipe resource and built a social media audience of over three million people.
Adopting a plant-based diet is the single most impactful action you can take as an individual to improve the health of the planet. I’m passionate about Team Century’s goal to unite everyone around a sustainable approach to our future. We desperately need to make a change and if I can help with that in any way then it’s truly an honour.
As a Team Century member, Ella Mills will lead a Plant-Based Challenge, which will kick-off on World Food Day on October 16. The target for the challenge participants is to maintain a plant-based diet for 30 days, improving their health and well-being while doing good for the environment.
Ahead of the Plant-Based Challenge, a dedicated campaign webpage will go live, which will host all relevant information to get the participants started, as well as the weekly challenge schedule that lets them know what to expect during each week. Throughout the challenge, Ella and Hyundai Motor Europe will provide useful tips and tricks, as well as recipes, via the website and their respective social media channels, to help challenge participants to start and maintain a plant-based diet.
Supporters will be encouraged to share their progress and home-cooked meals under the #Hyundaiplantbased. In addition, Ella will write a weekly blog article to be published on the Hyundai channels, covering topics on the positive effects of following a plant-based diet.
Once the international football action officially begins in November, Ella will show her support for Team Century with a range of entirely plant-based recipes inspired by a selection of the countries taking part, from a new take on classic match day snacks to hearty and healthy meals to share with friends and family during the game.
