It was back in 2011 when Hyundai Motorsport WRC driver Thierry Neuville last participated in Ypres Rally, Belgium. From 22 to 24 June, Neuville and his co-driver Nicolas Gilsoul will be back in town.
To celebrate their homecoming to Belgium, the team’s i20 R5 will receive a special look: within the scope of the ‘Back In Town’ Contest, children under the age of 15 have the chance to hand in a design proposal for the competing car. The winning design will be placed on Neuville’s Hyundai i20 R5 running in the race. The winning child will also receive a promotional pack from Hyundai Motorsport and will be welcomed with their family as a Hyundai VIP for two days at the Ypres Rally, including an exclusive Meet and Greet with Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul.
In Ypres, we obviously want to shine in sporting terms, but it is a really cool idea to be able to start with a Hyundai i20 R5 with a unique design. I am looking forward to seeing the projects and I am sure that great designs will be handed in. I therefore call upon as many children as possible to participate in the contest.
An all-white image of the car and the contest rules can be downloaded from the website www.backintown.be. Each child can submit one drawing until May 31, 2017. The winning design will be picked directly by Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul, to be unveiled on June 13 on Facebook and the contest website.
