Hyundai Motor Company today unveiled three key vehicle premieres at the Paris Motor Show, highlighted by the world premiere of the all-new BAYON. Alongside the global debut of its all-new B-SUV, Hyundai Motor presented its European-specification TUCSON and TUCSON N Line, strengthening the heart of its European range, as well as showcasing its all-electric STARIA Cargo light commercial vehicle.

Highlighting the next phase of the company’s European growth, the unveiling of Hyundai’s new core SUV models and entry into new customer segments was accompanied by major strategic brand initiatives in the region. These include Hyundai’s commitment to connecting with football fans and customers as the Official Automotive Partner of the UEFA Champions League, and the potential for expansion of the company’s partnership with Waymo to international markets.

Together, these key product and brand messages highlight the company’s commitment to Europe, as well as Hyundai’s strategic direction when it comes to design, innovation, and customer-centric mobility and experiences.

Alongside the new IONIQ 3 – designed and developed in Europe, for customers in Europe, and arriving in dealers now – Hyundai’s Paris Motor Show booth demonstrates the brand's strategic focus on growth in Europe and its vision for the future of mobility, supported by long-term regional investment and the company’s localization approach.

Hyundai has been selling cars in Europe for nearly 50 years. In that time, customers have come to trust our vehicles and our reliable service network. Today, almost 80 percent of what we sell in Europe is built in Europe, and by 2030 we will have invested close to €3 billion here as we continue to localize. The all-new BAYON and TUCSON were designed and engineered for this region, with the technology and features European customers want and value.

José Muñoz President and Global CEO, Hyundai Motor Company

Our presence in Paris is a clear statement of Hyundai’s ambition in Europe. With major product premieres, partnerships that bring our brand closer to millions of people, and continued investment in the region, we are showing both the strength of Hyundai today and the ambition driving our next chapter.

Hyundai Introduces All-new BAYON: True SUV Design Meets Up-Segment Comfort and Cutting-Edge Technology

Making its world premiere at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Hyundai’s all-new BAYON is a true B-SUV that brings bold character, advanced features and an elevated level of passenger comfort to everyday mobility. Highlighting Hyundai’s winning formula of design and technology applied to the compact SUV segment, all-new BAYON represents Hyundai’s ambition in Europe and provides a strong opportunity to reach new customers for the brand.

A longer wheelbase delivers increased rear legroom, while all-new BAYON offers class-leading head and shoulder room in both the front and rear, and 440 liters of luggage capacity supported by additional storage beneath the luggage compartment floor. This combination of passenger space, practical storage and versatility, and compact exterior dimensions makes all-new BAYON the perfect compact SUV for daily commuting, family use and longer journeys.

Launching with a 1.0 T-GDI powertrain with 90 PS and 115 PS options, all-new BAYON will feature a 1.6 HEV hybrid powertrain at a later stage. Projected to produce 138 PS and emit from 102 g/km CO2, all-new BAYON HEV will also introduce adaptive regenerative braking controlled through steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, delivering a unique EV-like driving experience.

All-new BAYON offers Hyundai’s comprehensive SmartSense package designed to assist drivers in city traffic, on highways and during parking manoeuvres. Available technologies include Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2), Surround View Monitor (SVM), Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 (FCA 2), Smart Cruise Control (SCC), Lane Following Assist 2 (LFA 2), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) and Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist-Reverse (PCA-R).

Convenience features include Hyundai Digital Key 2, enabling compatible smartphones and smartwatches to unlock and start the vehicle.

The all-new BAYON is much more than an update. We have strengthened its SUV character with a bolder design, more space, more comfort and technologies that customers would normally expect from larger vehicles. In one of Europe’s most important segments, BAYON gives us a stronger opportunity to attract new customers. With a hybrid powertrain joining the lineup in 2027, BAYON will build on this momentum.

European Premiere of The All-New TUCSON and TUCSON N Line: Bold Design, Intelligent Hybrid and Next-Generation Connectivity

Hyundai is also presenting the all-new TUCSON for Europe and unveiled the all-new TUCSON N Line at Paris, giving the all-new TUCSON an even more dynamic and distinctive appearance.

Since the launch of the first generation in 2004, TUCSON has established itself as one of Hyundai's most successful models in Europe, with more than 2 million units sold across the region. Launched at the end of 2020, the fourth generation has been the best-selling model in the private C-SUV segment in Europe, highlighting customers’ trust in TUCSON.

More than two decades later, it ranked as the best-selling model in the private C-SUV segment in Europe in 2025.

Renewing an icon is never easy. We could have played it safe and simply evolved a successful model. But that is not Hyundai’s style. We challenged ourselves to move TUCSON forward in every area that matters to customers, from design and comfort to technology and efficiency. The result is not simply the next TUCSON. It is the best TUCSON we have ever made.

Xavier Martinet President and CEO, Hyundai Motor Europe

All-new TUCSON embodies Hyundai’s ‘Bold by Design’ concept through Hyundai’s ‘Art of Steel’ design language, combining structural strength with a commanding road presence. Every element, from its muscular exterior proportions to its refined interior space, reflects purposeful engineering and aesthetic vision. The exterior design centres on pronounced, muscular fenders that showcase the inherent tension and strength of steel. This aesthetic is balanced by restrained door surfaces and crisp body lines, reinforcing the all-new TUCSON’s bold SUV image.

At the front, H-Edge lighting combines indirect central illumination with edge lighting to emphasise the vehicle’s horizontal proportions and create a wider, more stable appearance.

At the rear, the sculptural Prism Rear Lamp sharpens the vehicle’s volume and outline. Its three-dimensional internal structure creates a distinctive lighting signature and reinforces the precise, technical character of the rear design.

Depending on specification, all-new TUCSON is also available with Micro Pixel Lighting (MPL). Using 25,600 individual LED pixels, the system enables precisely controlled beam patterns as well as welcome and farewell animations. LED rear lamps are standard across the European range.

All-new TUCSON offers best-in-class interior space with the most front row head, shoulder and legroom in the segment, combined with class-leading head and legroom in the second row. With a best-in-class 695 liters of luggage capacity, plus a Relaxation seat, electric steering wheel adjustment, multi-air mode indirect ventilation, and additional comfort features including Ergomotion Seats, TUCSON offers a comfort package unmatched in the sector.

The cabin redefines minimalism for SUVs through purposeful design. The two-layered dashboard design combines form and function: a horizontal upper layer provides visual comfort and clarity, while a deep open tray below provides storage space.

N Line models get an exclusive Black Monotone interior combined with contrasting red accents on the seats (trimmed in sporty textile-suede), doors and dashboard. The N steering wheel with perforated leather hand grips, red stitching and dark metal enhance the sporty feel of the cabin. Together, these elements give the interior a more dynamic character while retaining the spacious and practical architecture of the standard model.

The all-new TUCSON introduces a broad range of connectivity, infotainment and driver-assistance technologies designed to make everyday journeys simpler and more intuitive.

Hyundai’s next-generation Pleos Connect infotainment, based on Android Automotive OS (AAOS), combines a central display available in 12.9-inch and 17-inch sizes with a slim 9.9-inch driver display for a smarter and more intuitive connected user experience. TUCSON’s Gleo AI voice assistant enhances this with live data, allowing drivers to access functions and information without navigating through multiple on-screen menus.

The Android Automotive OS platform also enables integrated access to compatible apps and connected services. Over-the-air (OTA) software updates allow selected vehicle systems and infotainment functions to be updated remotely. For an enhanced in-car audio experience, the all-new TUCSON is also available with a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, while interactive ambient lighting with Smart Mood Lamp further enhances the cabin experience. Convenience features include Hyundai Digital Key 2, enabling compatible smartphones and smartwatches to unlock and start the vehicle.

To help minimise driver distraction, frequently used information and controls are positioned within the driver’s natural field of view. A slim 9.9-inch digital instrument display sits above the steering wheel, while an available Head-Up Display projects key driving information directly onto the windscreen, allowing drivers to stay informed without taking their eyes off the road. For enhanced comfort and ergonomics, an electrically adjustable steering wheel allows drivers to easily find their ideal driving position, also enhancing entry and exit.

Physical buttons below the central infotainment display provide direct access to key functions. The extended centre-console armrest is designed to provide additional support when operating the central display, and two 15 W wireless charging pads are integrated into the console, together with concealed storage for smaller personal items. Class-leading device charging convenience is further supported by four 100 W USB-C ports, enabling rapid charging of laptops, tablets and other compatible devices throughout the cabin.

At the heart of the all-new TUCSON is its electrified powertrain line-up, including Hyundai’s advanced next-generation hybrid system, developed to combine responsive performance with efficient and refined everyday driving.

Hybrid models feature HEV Stay Mode, allowing selected vehicle functions, including climate control, audio and device charging, to remain available for extended periods while the combustion engine is switched off, providing a quieter and more comfortable cabin environment during stops or breaks.

All-new TUCSON’s hybrid powertrain produces 245 PS and 380 Nm of torque, while the plug-in hybrid TUCSON PHEV combines a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 17.1 kWh battery and electric motor setup, producing 292 PS and 380 Nm of torque and delivering an estimated electric-only range of up to 81 km with 17-inch wheels, subject to final homologation. A 7.2 kW on-board charger supports convenient AC charging at home or at public charging points. A 150 PS 1.6 T-GDI petrol engine is also available, offered with either a six-speed manual transmission or a 48V mild hybrid system and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT).

TUCSON features a class-leading safety package, with a comprehensive range of Hyundai SmartSense driver-assistance systems available. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 and Highway Driving Assist 2 complement technologies including Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) and Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control. ISLA supports drivers in complying with detected speed limits, while Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control uses navigation information to adapt vehicle speed to selected road conditions.

All-new TUCSON offers class-leading towing capacity of up to 1,910 kg for the hybrid variant, while the plug-in hybrid can tow up to 1,810 kg (12% slope). Trailer Reverse Assist (TRA) is designed to support steering control when reversing with a trailer, helping simplify low-speed manoeuvres.

Advanced Robotics to Lead Hyundai’s Global Transformation

Hyundai is also presenting its innovations in robotics at the 2026 Paris Motor Show as part of its transition towards becoming a physical AI and robotics company, highlighted by Hyundai Motor Company President and CEO, José Muñoz, at CEO Investor Day 2026 earlier this year.

Show visitors can explore and interact with Spot, an agile quadruped robot from Hyundai Motor Group affiliate Boston Dynamics, as well as take a selfie with the robot.

As part of Hyundai’s focus on delivering human progress, pairing people with co-working robots, Spot has already been deployed for industrial inspection and predictive maintenance across Hyundai’s global facilities, improving safety and reducing physical load and risk for human workers, freeing them for more valuable tasks.

Left: Spot Right: Atlas

Alongside Spot, at CES 2026, Boston Dynamics revealed the production version of its Atlas humanoid, with Hyundai Motor Group outlining itss robotics and physical AI roadmap. Atlas will be first deployed at Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America by 2028 for sequencing tasks, advancing human-centric smart factory innovation. Advancing human-robot collaboration, Atlas reduces human physical burden by performing higher-risk tasks, laying the groundwork for robot commercialization and a collaborative human-robot environment.

At Paris, Hyundai is also showcasing its X-ble Shoulder non-powered robotics technology, with booth visitors able to experience this innovation for themselves.

X-ble Shoulder is an industrial wearable robot developed by Hyundai Motor Group Robotics LAB and represents a new era in wearable technology. When used for overhead work where an operative’s arm is raised, X-ble Shoulder can support the user’s upper arm muscle and reduce the burden on the upper musculoskeletal system.

The benefits of X-ble Shoulder include enhanced worker safety, reduced risk of musculoskeletal injury, improved user comfort and increased efficiency and productivity. The unit can reduce shoulder load by up to 60 percent and anterior/lateral deltoid muscle activity by up to 30 percent.

X-ble Shoulder generates assistive force through its muscle compensation module instead of an electrical system, with a non-powered torque generation structure. There is no need to charge X-ble Shoulder, making it convenient to maintain and manage.

X-ble Shoulder weighs roughly 1.9 kg and can be adjusted to fit the wearer. Body length is adjustable between 406 mm and 446 mm, while the unit allows full arm movement from 0 to 180 degrees without hindering work or rest activities.

Hyundai’s Long-Term Commitment to Europe

At Paris, Hyundai is reinforcing its commitment to Europe with the next phase of its product offensive, renewing its SUV offerings in core market sectors. This is alongside entering a new customer segment with STARIA Cargo and key partnerships to connect with more customers and further grow the brand in Europe.

Today, Hyundai’s dedication to Europe is tangible: Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) in Nošovice has produced more than five million vehicles since it was founded in 2006. This milestone reflects long-term stability, technological maturity and production in Europe, for Europe – and the plant will reinforce its strategic importance as part of Hyundai’s operations as it gears up to begin production of the all-new TUCSON.

Like HMMC, Hyundai Motor Türkiye (HMTR) is also preparing for production of an all-new vehicle and will begin manufacturing the all-new BAYON later this year. Production of the new compact SUV in Izmit will also extend to hybrid powertrains, enabled by a new Battery System Assembly plant established on-site earlier this year.

Both factories, as well as the Research & Development center at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center (HMETC) in Germany, have seen major investments to further strengthen Hyundai’s footprint in the European region. With a €150 million investment in the new Square Campus at HMETC, Hyundai expanded its R&D facilities by an additional 25,000m² last year, transforming it into one of the most advanced automotive R&D centers in Europe.

At Izmit, the company invested €250 million to transform the facility with a redesigned EV body floor, high-voltage battery integration and power electronics, and successfully began production of its first electric vehicle, the IONIQ 3, in August this year.

The Nošovice plant in the Czech Republic was likewise expanded in 2025 to support BEV battery production and assembly, totaling over €2 billion invested since its opening in 2008.

Hyundai Motor Europe has production capacity of approximately 580,000 units in the region, with room for expansion, and intends more than half of regional production to be battery-electric.

The brand’s products presented in Paris, including IONIQ 3, all-new TUCSON and all-new BAYON presented in Paris connect local production, electrification and software-defined technology across urban, family and business mobility.

Hyundai’s commitment to Europe is long-term. Hyundai designs, engineers, tests, manufactures and sells vehicles in Europe and will have invested more than €3 billion in the region by 2030, highlighting that while others may be scaling back, Hyundai is doubling down on its strategic commitment.
