1. A stylish, modern appearance
The New i20 five-door comes with many design refinements, with redesigned front bumpers including the Cascading Grille, which is characterised by its curved natural flowing line. The rear of the i20 five-door and i20 Active also has updated bumpers and rear combination lamps, creating a more dynamic look.
2. The New i20 has three body types
The New i20 arrives with three body types: the i20 five-door, the i20 three-door Coupe and the i20 Active crossover, catering for every kind of driver. Customers also have a choice of three petrol engines.
3. Now featuring a 7DCT with two drive modes
The Kappa 1.0-litre T-GDI engine is available for the entire i20 line-up, and comes with a choice of two power outputs: the engine is capable of 73.6 kW/100 PS and is available with a five-speed manual transmission, while the high-power version of 88.3 kW/120 PS is combined with a six-speed manual transmission.
Alternatively, for the first time in a Hyundai i20, both powertrains can be matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT). The 7DCT offers two drive modes: Normal and Sport.
4. Idle Stop and Go
The Idle Stop and Go (ISG) is a standard feature in all three i20 versions, and this will contribute to lower fuel consumption, lower CO2 emissions and higher efficiency. Drivers in urban areas using this feature will particularly benefit from fuel savings, as ISG automatically switches off the engine when the car comes to a halt.
5. i20 customers can personalise their car
The i20 five-door is available with a panoramic sun roof, while both the i20 five-door and i20 Active will be available with a Phantom Black two-tone roof, offering customers the chance to personalise their car.
Ten distinctive colours are available for the exterior, including three new ones: Tomato Red, Champion Blue and Clean Slate, alongside existing options Passion Red, Aqua Sparkling, Cashmere Brown, Sleek Silver, Stardust, Polar White and Phantom Black.
6. Customisation options for the interior, too
As well as choosing from a wide range of exterior colours, customers can also draw from a wide range of interior colours. The new Blue interior features a blue coloured inlay that runs across the dashboard and around the inner door handles. As well as this, there is the option of new Red Point and Blue Point interior patterns with a red or blue colour accent.
7. Hyundai SmartSense
Hyundai has now introduced the Hyundai SmartSense for the New i20, to comply with the highest European standards. This comprehensive driver assistance package offers significant passive and active safety technology upgrades.
8. A range of active safety features
The i20 can be equipped with Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), which alerts drivers with clear visual and acoustic warnings if the car begins to drift outside its intended lane. This can help prevent potential collisions.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) alerts the driver of unsafe movements at over 60 km/h by sensing the car’s position. Meanwhile, Driver Attention Warning (DAW) monitors driving patterns in order to detect reckless or fatigued driving and prevent potential accidents.
The optional Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) city and interurban feature utilises a front camera to alert drivers to emergency situations, and brakes autonomously if required.
9. New and advanced connectivity features
The New i20 features an array of new and advanced connectivity features that seamlessly integrate with the driver’s smartphone. Customers can choose between four different audio systems, and the new seven-inch Display Audio allows them to mirror content from their smartphone to the system’s display using Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and through a USB charger.

10. A unique five-year, unlimited mileage warranty
All three i20 variants are available in Europe with a unique five-year, fully-transferable, unlimited mileage warranty, further demonstrating its quality and reliability.
