Hyundai Motor has announced its sustainable performance in the European market for 2023. The company has reported an increase in sales with a total of 534,170 units sold, marking a 3.1 per cent increase compared to 2022. With sales figures back to pre-pandemic numbers, Hyundai demonstrates holistic growth rooted in customer centricity by producing cars “made in Europe, for Europe”, the expansion of its mobility solutions line-up through its EV leadership, and the diversification of its investments for the future, including hydrogen energy.

Steady market share across Europe
Hyundai experienced stable market shares in its key European markets, with remarkable sales results in Italy, UK and France.
Hyundai Motor Company Italy sold 48,890 units in 2023, representing an increase of 19.2 per cent compared to 2022. In the UK the company hit a market share of 4.6 per cent, equivalent to 87,112 newly registered vehicles, 8.3 per cent more than in 2022. The French market saw a 4.9 per cent increase in sales compared to 2022, with 49,400 new Hyundai vehicles sold.
