In a move set to enhance the driving experience, Hyundai Motor Europe is launching in-car music streaming, an innovative feature that will let customers stream their favourite tunes directly in their cars, starting from the upcoming all-new Kona Electric. Amazon Music will be the first streaming service to participate with in-car streaming. The announcement comes as Amazon Music continues to expand into the realm of automotive entertainment.
The in-car streaming feature allows Amazon Music subscribers to enjoy their favourite songs while on the road, all without incurring any additional data charges during a three-year complimentary period of Bluelink. With a focus on convenience and enhancing the driving experience, Hyundai is eager to change the way music is enjoyed during commutes and road trips.
Customers with an Amazon Music subscription and valid Bluelink activation, with the Bluelink app linked to the driver's profile and the vehicle, will have access to their favourite music and playlists on the go.
The exciting news doesn't stop at the all-new Kona Electric. For existing Kona ICE/HEV owners, the music streaming feature will be retroactively applied through a regular software update, enhancing the experience for existing owners.
Further developments, such as voice commands for selecting specific songs or artists via voice recognition, will be rolled out at a later stage , reflecting Hyundai and Amazon Music's commitment to integrating entertainment seamlessly into the driving experience. This voice feature will enable drivers to interact with the service safely and intuitively, making it even easier to curate the perfect driving playlist.
With this newly added music experience, the road ahead promises to be memorable revolutionising how drivers and passengers enjoy music while on the move.
Availability of Amazon Music service may vary by country.
