Hyundai launches global mobility brand MOCEAN Subscription in Europe

Hyundai Motor is launching its global mobility brand Mocean Subscription in Europe. This combines the benefits of owning a Hyundai car with the flexibility of a subscription service.

Customers can subscribe to a Hyundai car on a monthly or yearly basis at a fixed rate. Mocean Subscription first starts in Spain, with plans to introduce the service to other European markets later. The service will initially launch in Barcelona in February 2021.

Customers of Mocean Subscription pay a flat recurring rate and can select from a six- to 24-month contract period, with the option to switch vehicles every six months according to their needs. Aside from fuel and charging costs, all fees are included in the monthly payment, with insurance, maintenance, check-ups and taxes, so subscribers can enjoy the service hassle-free.

From Tucson to IONIQ, almost every model in the Hyundai line-up will be available to customers through Mocean Subscription.

With the introduction of our Mocean Subscription service, Hyundai is expanding into the European MaaS market for the first time. Our Mocean Subscription service has been tailored to meet current and future consumers’ needs. We are excited to be able to target new customer groups in the months ahead.

How Mocean Subscription works

Mocean Subscription | Introduction & How-To

Mocean Subscription is Hyundai’s global Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) brand. With no sign-up fee and a fully digital user experience, customers can enjoy a streamlined registration process from the first click to the handover of their car.

Once registered on the Mocean Subscription website, customers can select their Hyundai car, pricing plan of either 6, 12, 18 or 24 months, and mileage package. They can pick up the vehicle at a Hyundai dealership on a date and at a time of their choosing. The estimated delivery time of each model is five-to-seven days. The broad Hyundai dealer network will guarantee the full service and maintenance throughout the time of the subscription.

For maximum flexibility, Mocean Subscription customers can opt to change their vehicle every six months to adapt to their lifestyle. Those who wish to cancel their subscription can do so with a one-month notice period.
