You’d be forgiven for taking one look at the Hyundai IONIQ 9’s cyberpunk styling and thinking it was a super-futuristic concept car, not a practical and comfortable family SUV. Comfort really is the order of the day, whether you’re up front with a commanding view of the road or sat in one of the captain’s chairs in the back. The Hyundai IONIQ 9 is the brand’s most advanced and spacious electric SUV to date, built on the E-GMP platform and powered by a 110.3 kWh battery delivering up to an estimated 385 miles (WLTP) of range. Available in RWD, AWD and Performance AWD variants, it offers ultra-fast 800V charging from its e-GMP technology. Inside, the IONIQ 9 offers a choice of six- or seven-seat configurations, a completely flat floor, and up to 2,419 litres of total load space. Premium comfort features include available captain’s chairs, Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seating, and a 14-speaker BOSE sound system.
Technology is at the heart of the IONIQ 9, featuring Hyundai’s new AI Assistant for natural voice control, a panoramic widescreen cockpit, and available digital mirrors for enhanced visibility. Quietness and refinement are maximised through Active Noise Control and acoustic glazing, creating a serene electric driving experience that perfectly aligns with its Comfortable Cruiser award.
