The all-new Hyundai IONIQ 3 is making its debut on the Goodwood Hill Climb this weekend. Hyundai’s latest EV, which goes on sale in the UK later this year with pricing expected to start from under £25,000, has received the highest-ever level of customer interest recorded for a new Hyundai model ahead of going on sale.
The IONIQ 3 including N Line EVO take centre stage on Hyundai’s stand, alongside the IONIQ 5 N, IONIQ 6 N and IONIQ 9. A further IONIQ 3 N Line EVO will be visible on the hill climb across all four days of the festival.
The all-new IONIQ 3 is a fully electric compact hatchback designed around the everyday needs of European drivers. Its new ‘Aero Hatch’ silhouette is shaped by Hyundai’s ‘Art of Steel’ design philosophy, combining aerodynamic efficiency – with a class-leading drag coefficient of 0.263 – with a genuinely spacious interior offering five-seat comfort and 441 litres of luggage capacity. Two battery options deliver a projected WLTP range of up to 308 miles, with DC fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 29 minutes.
IONIQ 3 is also the first European Hyundai model to feature the new Pleos Connect infotainment system, based on Android Automotive OS, and comes equipped with Hyundai SmartSense driver assistance technology as standard.
Goodwood is the perfect stage for one of the first IONIQ 3 appearances in the UK. This is a car that we believe will open up electric driving to a whole new group of customers, and the fact that we’re already seeing record levels of interest before it’s even gone on sale tells us everything we need to know about its appeal.
Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the most-attended motoring events in the world, drawing more than 180,000 visitors across its four days. Hyundai’s stand at the foot of the Hill Climb offers visitors the chance to explore the full model line-up and register their interest in the IONIQ 3 and other Hyundai models
