Hyundai Motor UK has been recognised as one of the Sunday Times 'Best Places to Work 2024'. This prestigious award, powered by WorkL, celebrates the outstanding achievements of Britain’s top employers in creating exceptional workplace environments.
The report said: “Hyundai comes from the South Korean for modernity and the car company reflects this by fostering an environment of innovation, empowering its team of 208 in Leatherhead in Surrey to push boundaries and challenge convention.”
This year’s nationwide survey highlights the best workplaces across several categories, acknowledging companies that excel in supporting diverse groups, including women, the LGBTQIA+ community, disabled employees, ethnic minorities, and both younger and older workers. Hyundai Motor UK’s inclusion on this list underscores its commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
Being named a 'Best Place to Work' is a testament to our dedicated team who work tirelessly to ensure Hyundai Motor UK remains an inclusive, supportive, and innovative place to work. We are honoured to receive this recognition and remain committed to enhancing our workplace environment to support the wellbeing and professional growth of all our employees.
The Sunday Times Best Places to Work awards survey uses 26 questions from WorkL’s employee engagement survey, developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties to most accurately monitor employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace. To achieve a high overall engagement score, an organisation must score well across WorkL’s six-step framework:
- Reward and Recognition
- Instilling Pride
- Information Sharing
- Empowerment
- Wellbeing
- Job Satisfaction
Hyundai Motor UK’s scored over 75% in every single category, and 80% or more in the Wellbeing, Instilling Pride and Job Satisfaction sections. It was also rated Excellent for Diversity and Inclusion as well as Confidence in Management.
