Hyundai Motor UK continues to evolve its dedicated Fleet and Business sales operation, with a newly restructured team. During 2021 Hyundai had the largest year-on-year True Fleet growth of any manufacturer and has already seen excellent volume growth during 2022. To capitalise on a range of market-leading electrified vehicles – perfect for the fleet market – Head of Section, Fleet, Tim White, has implemented an all-new structure.
Dominic Gill, National Corporate Sales Manager at Hyundai Motor UK, is joined by two New Business Development Managers: Stephen Cassar and Tim Johnson. Stephen and Tim – both new to Hyundai, bring a wealth of automotive and financing experience – and are responsible for securing new customer sales to fleets of 100 vehicles or more. Hyundai Business has already made significant in-roads into large corporate fleets and these new appointments will further bolster Hyundai’s credentials in the minds of some of the largest fleets in the country.
John Mahony – Fleet Operations Manager with Hyundai since 2004 – continues to report into Dominic as Key Account Manager, focused on customer retention for some of Hyundai Motor UK’s largest customer accounts. Liam Bennett also joins the team as Key Account Manager, working alongside John on growing Hyundai’s relationships with its ever-expanding customer base but also with a specialist focus on Emergency Services and Government fleet sales.
The new team is now in place at an exciting time for Hyundai Motor UK, following a successful 2021 that saw True Fleet sales more than double, thanks to a range of class leading advanced low emissions vehicles. At the start of 2022 it was named Fleet News’ most improved fleet manufacturer.
The KONA Electric was also named Best Zero Emission Car Under £40,000 by Fleet News, with TUCSON also Highly Commended at the Fleet News Awards in the Mid-Size SUV category. Meanwhile, Hyundai’s revolutionary IONIQ 5 has won a host of company car awards, including Carbuyer Best Company Car 2022. Company Car and Van Car of the Year and overall winner in the 2022 Company Car Today CCT 100 Awards. It was also recently named World Car of the Year, World Electric Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year, and UK Car of the Year.
Alongside its product innovations, Hyundai has completely overhauled its Business brand. Hosted in an all-new fleet section of the website, including whole life cost calculators, BiK rates and competitor comparison tools, there is a clearly defined journey for company car users and fleet managers. Support for fleet customers is also now stronger than ever, with a virtual account manager team that has doubled and a comprehensive Fleet Aftersales Charter that guarantees affordable costs and quick service.
This period for Hyundai in the UK is transformational. With IONIQ 5 – the current World Car of the Year – leading our line-up of fleet-friendly EVs, ably supported by advanced plug-in hybrids, we’re doing all that we can to ensure our fleet team continues to meet the demand and expectations from our customers. Led by Tim White this new team provides more flexibility, ensuring we remain agile to meet customer needs.
