The multiple award-winning Hyundai IONIQ 6 has picked up another prestigious honour, after being named Best EV Executive Car at the Great British Fleet Awards.
The annual awards are organised by the UK’s leading fleet title Fleet World, and recognise the finest fleet-focused vehicles on the market, as well as cutting-edge developments in the industry. There’s a particular focus on honouring excellence in fleet management, alongside the products and services that support operators running safer, greener, more cost-effective fleets.
Fleet World’s expert panel of editors voted the IONIQ 6 a clear winner against established rivals in the Best Executive EV Car category, praising its efficiency, high-tech equipment and comfortable, refined driving experience.
The Hyundai IONIQ 6 truly stands out from the crowd, maximising efficiency with its aerodynamics and ultra-fast charging capabilities. Meanwhile, the high quality – and hi-tech – interior provides a comfortable and relaxing environment for journeys, whether long or short.
2024 marks the second year in a row the IONIQ 6 has been named a winner in the Great British Fleet Awards, having collected the Best EV Compact Executive Car prize 12 months ago.
The IONIQ 6 has been widely praised since arriving in showrooms early last year, with its sleek Streamliner design, clever packaging and ultra-fast charging winning over an army of admirers. Customers have a choice of either a rear-wheel drive powertrain offering 228PS and 350Nm or an all-wheel drive powertrain with 325PS and 605Nm. All models feature the long range 77.4 kWh battery, with the E-GMP platform’s standard 800v charging system providing 350kW ultra-fast charger compatibility, and generously equipped Premium and Ultimate trim lines are available.
The IONIQ 6 caused quite a stir among the fleet market when it was launched, and has continued to make a major impact thanks to its winning blend of performance, quality and technology. The team at Fleet World know exactly what fleet buyers and users want from a car, and the Best EV Executive Car award reinforces what a thoroughly convincing choice the IONIQ 6 makes.
The recognition from Fleet World is the latest in a long line of accolades picked up by the IONIQ 6 since its launch. In 2023, it was crowned World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle and World Car Design of the Year, and also picked up the Erin Baker Award at the Auto Trader New Car Awards, plus Saloon of the Year at the GQ Awards. The success has continued into 2024, with the IONIQ 6 being named Best Family Car at the UK Car of the Year Awards.
