Advancing Future Mobility with New Technologies

At Hyundai, we understand that mobility plays a crucial role in people's lives. That's why we are committed to ensuring that everyone reaches their destination safely, comfortably, and with a smaller environmental footprint. Every day, we strive to advance future mobility from innovations in car design to robotics.

Continue to innovate for a new mobility.

Advancing accessibility

As a mobility solutions provider, we are deeply committed to enhancing people's lives through accessibility and innovation. Through a range of projects, we work tirelessly to bring our mission of progress for humanity to life by developing impactful solutions that enhance people's lives.

Fostering Innovation

Driving new mobility and supporting the next generation of innovators guides everything we do. Our guiding principle in innovating is the transformative power of collaboration: We believe in an open culture and in bringing young designers, researchers and engineers together for strategic collaborations.

Robotics

At Hyundai, we believe deeply in the power of technology to transform people’s lives. That’s why Hyundai Motor Group invested in Boston Dynamics: By combining their technical expertise with our vision, we aim to realize the future of mobility and build robots that can enhance the daily lives of everyone.

Spot and Atlas

Spot is an agile robot, able to navigate terrain with unprecedented mobility, thereby automating routine inspection tasks and capturing data safely and accurately. Almost a thousand Spots are already out in the world today – and some of them are supporting our human talents in the manufacture of cars. Atlas is designed to push the limits of whole-body mobility. Its advanced control system and state-of-the-art hardware give it the power and balance to demonstrate human-level agility to automate research tasks and dangerous work – particularly in the areas of manufacturing and logistics.

Automating EV charging with the power of robotics

One of the ways we aim to Create Shared Value (CSV) is by developing electric vehicles with user-friendly features and expanding charging infrastructure to make low-emission technologies more accessible. In 2023, Hyundai developed an automatic charging robot for electric vehicles (EV), that can reliably operate in all environments, regardless of charger location, weather or potential obstacles to overcome accessibility issues and make EV charging safer, simpler and more convenient.
