Hyundai Motor France announces the appointment of Vincent Despres as President, effective February 16th. He succeeds Lionel French Keogh, who led the French subsidiary for eleven years, a period marked by sustained growth and a profound transformation of the brand.
Vincent Despres joins Hyundai Motor France with nearly 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, acquired within the Renault Group, where he has held senior management positions in France and internationally. As a graduate of ESCP Business School, he has built a solid and widely recognised career spanning sales, aftersales, and marketing strategy.
Throughout his career, Vincent Despres notably served as Sales Director of Dacia France, after having been Managing Director for South Africa as well as several importer markets across the Africa-Middle East-Pacific region. More recently, he held the position of Vice President Sales Performance for the Dacia brand within the Renault Group, overseeing sales operations, forecasting, supply chain management, and commercial performance across Europe. In this role, he made a significant contribution to the brand’s performance, both in terms of volume growth and profitability.
In his new role, Vincent Despres will be responsible for continuing Hyundai’s development in the French market, supporting the acceleration of the brand’s electrification strategy and strengthening its positioning in an automotive landscape undergoing rapid transformation. He will also oversee the rollout and development of Genesis in France, Hyundai Motor Group’s premium brand, whose launch represents a major strategic milestone in the French market.
