Hyundai IONIQ 9: Exclusive new Digital Features & Services now available in the Bluelink Store

Hyundai is taking personalization to the next level with the IONIQ 9, offering three exclusive digital features for the first time through the Bluelink Store in the Bluelink App. These features – display themes, lighting patterns, and virtual gear shift – are designed to provide customers with an immersive and customizable driving experience.
So far, the features have been rolled out in 14 European markets, with additional territories to follow in the coming weeks.
The IONIQ 9 is Hyundai’s first model to feature on-demand digital upgrades, allowing customers to tailor their vehicles to their preferences. These features are part of Hyundai’s broader strategy to enhance the vehicle lifecycle experience through Over-the-Air (OTA) updates and upgrades. By offering these services via the Bluelink Store, Hyundai empowers customers to explore and activate new features on their own terms.

Three New and Exclusive Features for the IONIQ 9
- Customers can personalize their driver display and infotainment touchscreen with free display themes, including unique animations that appear when starting or shutting down the vehicle. Two themes are available at launch: “Nature“ – a serene, nature-inspired design – and "Pony“, a nostalgic tribute to the brands first mass-produced car, the Giugiaro-designed Hyundai Pony from 1974.
- The IONIQ 9’s dynamic lighting signature sets a new standard in the fusion of technology and design. Upon unlocking or leaving the vehicle, a choreographed lighting animation activates, emphasizing the premium character of the model. One lighting pattern is included as standard, with four additional options available for purchase in the Bluelink Store.
- The Virtual Gear Shift replicates the driving feel of a combustion engine, authentically imitating engine sounds and the sensation of shifting real gears. It enhances the driving experience, making it more dynamic and enjoyable, and adds an immersive layer to the IONIQ 9.
Initial Rollout and Future Plans
The new digital features are initially available in Austria, Belgium, Czechia, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Sweden, and the UK. Additional European markets will follow in due course. While the initial rollout targets new IONIQ 9 owners, Hyundai plans to expand support to additional models as new vehicles are introduced.
