Starting 22 March 2025, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe (COE) will embark on its European tour, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concertos Nos. 1-5. The orchestra will be accompanied and directed by the renowned Korean pianist Sunwook Kim, who will conduct from his piano. The tour marks the second collaboration between the COE and Sunwook Kim.
The Chamber Orchestra of Europe is one of the finest ensembles and admired by many Maestros. I am honoured to perform my beloved Beethoven piano concertos with these wonderful musicians, and I look forward to creating joyful memories with the orchestra. A heartfelt thanks to Hyundai Motor Company for making this tour possible.

The first concert will take place on 22 March at the Salle Philharmonique in Liège, Belgium, followed by performances at the Berliner Philharmonie in Berlin, Germany (24 March), and the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse, France (26 March). It will then proceed to Eisenstadt, Austria, for two concerts at Schloss Esterházy on 29 and 30 March. The tour will then continue to South Korea, where five concerts will be held. The first concert will take place in the Daejeon Arts Center in Daejeon (3 April). From there, the tour travels to Daegu with one concert in Susung Artpia (4 April) and then to Seoul with one concert in the LG Arts Center on 5 April and two concerts in the Lotte Center Concert Hall on 7 and 8 April.
To finalize the world tour, Sunwook Kim and the Orchestra will travel back to Europe to perform twice in the United Kingdom: at Saffron Hall in Saffron Walden (11 April) and London’s Barbican Centre (12 April). At each concert, the COE and Sunwook Kim will present a different programme featuring Beethoven’s Piano Concertos alongside works by contemporary composers Anna Clyne and Helen Grime, ensuring that every concert is a unique experience.
