Hyundai Motor UK Limited (“Hyundai”) values the trust of its dealers and their employees and takes the privacy of your information very seriously. To ensure you are fully informed and to adhere to current legislation, this policy is designed to inform you about:

How we collect your information

In the course of your working relationship with Hyundai, we may have collected or will collect information about you. We refer to such information as “Personal Information”. Access to Personal Information within the Hyundai Group as described above will be limited to those who have a need to know the information for the purposes described at the end of this policy, and may include your managers and their designees, HR, Training Academy, IT, Compliance, Legal, Finance and Accounting and Internal Audit.

All employees within Hyundai will generally have access to your business contact information such as name, position, telephone number, work address and email address.

From time to time, Hyundai may need to make Personal Information available to other unaffiliated third parties. Third party service providers and professional advisors are expected to protect the confidentiality and security of Personal Information, and only use Personal Information for the provision of services to Hyundai and its affiliates, and in compliance with applicable law.

Hyundai has a legitimate interest in the company group wide transfer and processing of Personal Information for group company internal business purposes, including managing the centralisation of data processing activities, to design efficient and workable business processes, to allow cross-company teams to work together and to make business processes more efficient and cost effective.

If you do not own a vehicle and there are no other valid reasons for retaining your data for processing, your personal data will be deleted within one month from the receipt of your request.

Business Operations: Facilitating training and accreditation programmes for dealerships, administering new product launch and other company events, business travel requirements for corporate events, competitions and prize draws, commercial relationships with suppliers and other third parties, providing day to day support

Health & Safety: Facilitating communication with you, ensuring business continuity, protecting the health and safety of your staff and others.

IT Operations: Operating, managing and providing access to the company’s group-wide and local IT and communications systems

Compliance: Complying with legal and other requirements, such as record-keeping, reporting obligations, conducting audits, compliance with training institutes and bodies, responding to legal process such complaints or claims, conducting investigations and complying with internal policies and procedures.
