- Hyundai Motor wins Technology Award for its Green Technologies
- Hyundai recognised as the first manufacturer to offer a complete range of eco-technologies to UK customers
- IONIQ available in hybrid, electric and plug-in hybrid
- ix35 Fuel Cell the first commercially available hydrogen fuel cell vehicle
Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief, Auto Express & Carbuyer said: “The award has been given to the manufacturer that we feel has introduced really innovative and useful technology that will truly benefit the consumer. Hyundai is the first car maker who'll be offering buyers a full mix of eco-friendly technologies. In the IONIQ you'll be able to choose from affordable hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric versions - all in a really appealing package. And, of course, Hyundai was the first manufacturer to offer UK buyers a fuel cell vehicle in the ix35”
To receive this award is a true honour and testament to our ongoing commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our vehicles. With our latest model, IONIQ, we are now able to offer our customers even greater choice with a vehicle designed and engineered from the start to offer hybrid, electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
When it comes to tech, being first is vital, but more important is making it affordable and attractive - and that's exactly what Hyundai is doing.
The all new IONIQ Hybrid and IONIQ Electric will be on sale in the UK from 13 October and prices start from £19,995. IONIQ Plug-In will be available from mid 2017.
