Hyundai Excess Return was originally launched to reduce the excess costs for customers – who purchase a new Hyundai – in the event they need to make a claim on their insurance policy. As no major UK insurer guarantees the use of genuine Hyundai parts in their own bodyshop network, customers can choose to repair their vehicle at a Hyundai Authorised Repairer, to ensure they are not invalidating their warranty, but they can experience additional excess charges – up to £200 – when they do this. To offset the additional excess costs, if a customer chooses to visit a Hyundai Authorised Repairer to carry out work, they are able to use a £250 Hyundai Excess Returns voucher.
From 15th October 2018, Excess Return will also become part of the official Hyundai Approved Used Car offering, ‘H Promise’ and Hyundai Approved Used Car customers will be able to use the £250 Excess Return voucher when they choose to visit a Hyundai Authorised Repairer to carry out repair work. Customers buying a new Hyundai will continue to benefit from the offer.

Hyundai Motor UK is extending its existing £250 Excess Return offer to its retail Approved Used Car Programme, H Promise from 15th October 2018.
With approximately 10% of customers making an insurance claim each year*, this is a very beneficial addition to ‘H Promise’ our approved used car programme. This will provide the full reassurance that their vehicle is repaired to the latest Hyundai standards, using genuine parts.
