New Hyundai Tucson - Design

- Designed and built in Europe, new design accents in the exterior and the interior make the New Tucson even more attractive for European customers.

Sharp and elegant lines strengthen the character of this progressive C-SUV and a more comfortable and spacious interior contribute to the Hyundai driving experience. The design of the New Tucson is positioned between the young, funky feel of the Kona and the sophisticated, adult Hyundai Santa Fe.

Exterior Design

Hyundai has refreshed the front, rear and wheels of its best-selling model in Europe to give the Tucson an elegant, distinctive appearance and a more luxurious feeling. The front of the Tucson now features the Cascading Grille, the company’s family identity. The lines of the grille are echoed by the new full LED headlamps and the updated shapes of the daytime running lights, which strengthen the sporty character of the Tucson. Redesigned front bumpers as well as the reworked position of the skid plate give the New Tucson a wider look and a dynamic stance. Updated 16-, 17- or 19-inch alloy wheels in a new, sleek design make the car look more sophisticated without affecting the main character of the Tucson. Alternatively, customers can choose the full new 18-inch wheels.

The rear of the Tucson is highlighted by the new Twin Tip muffler. Redesigned muffler shapes combined with the sharp lines of the new tailgate and the updated rear bumper design feature the eye-catching appearance of this compact SUV. The tailgate is pronounced by a split line right above the registration plate creating a high-quality look. The elegant integrated and reworked rear combination lights give the New Hyundai Tucson a flush design appearance. Additionally the refined rear light enhances the simplicity of the Tucson design by balancing the lamps better with the shape of the vehicle.

The three new exterior colours Olivine Grey, Stellar Blue and Champion Blue, which is already available with Hyundai’s Go! Edition, offers the option to individualise the car. On top of these advancements customers can choose the optional panoramic sun roof for a more spacious feel in the interior.

Interior Design

The refined interior connects the current design highlights of the Hyundai line-up with fresh new accents, making the reworked Tucson cabin even more comfortable and spacious. The completely new upper dashboard features high-quality soft touch material with a double stitching line for a more cozy, high-quality feeling in the interior. This impression is complemented with new tasteful, embossed leather and textilie trim materials as well as three-dimensional textile treatments. Focal point of the centre console is the floating audio system screen. The free-floating screen has an ergonomic position and allows drivers to stay focused on the road.

A range of four different interior colours emphasises the Tucson’s progressive design. The elegant light grey completes the interior colours black, beige and red. A black head liner comes with the red wine or the new light grey coloured door and seat inlays. The black one tone and sahara beige interior colours are combined with a white head liner. To complement the interior, Hyundai offers alloy door scuffs, metal pedals and a redesigned TGS knob for the New Tucson. Overall the interior of the New Hyundai Tucson is more sophisticated, with a more glossy quality creating a more elegant impression.

For more driving comfort and a sporty feeling, the updated Tucson is equipped with comfortable sport seats offering the best seating position on and off the road. With special heating and ventilation features, drivers are prepared for hot summers and cold winters. Next to the seat comfort, Tucson customers benefit from the generous roomy trunk with a capacity of minimum 513 litres (with 48 V minimum is 459 litres), which is compact but offers enough space for families.
