- The German automotive magazine Auto Bild and the independent market intelligence consultancy Schwacke GmbH have named the IONIQ Electric the 2018 Value Champion in the electric vehicles category.

The German automotive magazine Auto Bild and the independent market intelligence consultancy Schwacke GmbH have named the Hyundai IONIQ Electric the 2018 Value Champion (‘Wertmeister 2018’) in the electric vehicles category for the second year in a row. The award is made in recognition of the most stable residual value of cars in Germany in thirteen categories.

This year Auto Bild and Schwacke carried out their Value Champion programme for vehicles with the most stable values for the 15th time. The awards are based on the predicted residual value after four years and an annual mileage of 10,000 kilometres. As in 2017, the Hyundai IONIQ Electric won in the electric cars category, having the highest residual value in its class: 58.61%.

We are very proud that our Hyundai IONIQ Electric has won the Value Champion award for the second time in a row. These back-to back awards are based on real data from the market, demonstrating the strength of Hyundai products in the field of electric vehicles. The IONIQ range continues to attract new customers to our brand, thanks to the competitive driving performance, innovative clean technology and a high-value warranty.
