Under the motto “For a Living Planet”, all the lights at its European headquarters in Offenbach, Germany, were turned off for one hour on March 30. Earth Hour is a global climate change initiative created by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

Out of twelve vehicles tested, the Hyundai IONIQ Electric was one of just two eco-minded vehicles to achieve the maximum score

Earth Hour is a global event. Everywhere on earth, millions of people from thousands of cities take part in this drive by switching off the lights in their own homes, government buildings, landmarks or shops for one hour at 8.30pm local time. Hyundai Motor joined these supporters by officially registering with the global WWF Earth Hour initiative.
