Hyundai Motor is once again demonstrating its commitment to sustainability, this time as an official technical partner of the climate protection event All4Climate. As the official transportation partner, the company’s Italian subsidiary will provide a fleet of IONIQ 5 as shuttles to guarantee an emission-free transport of the participants between the different locations.

All4Climate is a project that aims to foster proactive dialogue on the challenges of the climate crisis and deliver on the objectives of the Paris Agreement. All4Climate Italy 2021, which will take place in Milan from 28 September to 2 October, encompasses the full line-up of climate events taking place in Italy this year. Its goal is simple: to make 2021 a landmark year for climate ambition. The event is the result of a collaboration between the Italian Ministry for Ecological Transition, the World Bank Group’s Connect4Climate, the Lombardy Region of Italy and the Municipality of Milan.

Around 400 young people aged between 15 and 29 coming from the 197 member-countries of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, will meet in Milan working on developing proposals to establish concrete solutions to face climate challenges.

The automotive sector plays a key role in the global climate change landscape. As a leader in emission free mobility it is our clear purpose to CO2 emissions, one of the main causes of climate change. By providing battery-electric vehicles as the official shuttles of the ALL4CLIMATE event, we prove that we’re not just talking about fighting climate change – we’re actively doing it, every day.

Michael Cole President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Europe

Battery-electric vehicles such as IONIQ 5 will play an important part as Hyundai pursues its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2045. The company aims to secure 30 per cent of its global vehicles sales with local emission-free vehicles and expects that battery-electric vehicles and fuel cell electric vehicles will account for 80 per cent of its total fleet sales by 2040.
