Two generations on from its first arrival on the market, Hyundai Motor has updated its longest-running European model, Santa Fe, and created new images to showcase the flagship SUV.
The Santa Fe is one of Hyundai Motor’s most iconic models, winning a string of accolades, including Auto Express ‘Best large SUV’ award in 2013 and 2014, a five-star rating in the Euro NCAP safety test, and Cars.com's 'Family car of the year' in 2015. Named after the capital of the state of New Mexico, it is built in the world's largest car factory in Ulsan, South Korea. First launched in 2001, the new model is Hyundai's top of the range SUV.
Features in the Santa Fe range from neat small details to big sound: for example, the filler cap can be opened from the driver's door. Meanwhile, the audio visual system combines DAB digital radio and Infinity premium sound with 12 speakers providing a multi-dimension surround sound experience for all passengers.
Hyundai Motor’s SUV line-up accounts for one third of Hyundai vehicle sales in Europe with New Santa Fe as the flagship model. Here are some of the reasons Europeans have fallen in love with the latest version of the iconic car.

Exterior design

With an imposing look, owing to the striking hexagonal grille at the front, complemented by xenon projector headlamps, chrome details, and LED daytime running lights, the new Santa Fe boasts a bold modern design, enhanced by a sharper profile and distinctive twin tailpipes.
It conveys undeniable presence no matter where you are: cruising down the motorway, or moving through the city where people stand and stare.

Cabin comfort and interior design

The good times continue inside: combining sophistication with functionality, the new Santa Fe offers a choice between five or seven seats. It also includes upgrades to the high-resolution screen console and audio visual system, perfectly placed for driving. Additional interior comfort is provided by heated leather seats, split-folding rear seats and chrome effect door handles.
Drivers are positioned in a high and commanding position, with flexibility provided by the electric driver’s seat lumbar support and height- and reach-adjustable steering column.

Numerous features

Depending on the model, passengers can enjoy Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, rear parking sensors, air-conditioning, and an intuitive navigation system with rear-view parking camera, as well as rain-sensing windscreen wipers.
The seven-seater version further offers hands-free boot opening, keyless entry, ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof that floods the cabin with light.
New safety features include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, and Smart Cruise Control. Passengers are in good hands, even more so when considering that Santa Fe comes as standard with seven airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESP) and a reinforced body shell.

Generous space

The five-seat model provides 585 litres of boot space, increasing up to 1,680 litres if the seats are folded. The 40:20:40 split rear seats provide additional loading flexibility. On the seven seat version there are ingenious reclining and sliding second row seats, and the third row can be folded flat into the boot floor.

Driving pleasure

The Santa Fe offers power, efficiency and responsiveness in all weather and road conditions. Torque on Demand 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) is there to overcome diverse road conditions and provide improved traction, ideal over the winter months. The Hill-start Assist system is the answer for steep inclines.
