Press material

Recent studies by independent automotive intelligence organisations across Europe reveal that the All-New Hyundai IONIQ scores top rankings in residual value forecasts.
Launched at the beginning of October in Germany and the UK, the IONIQ Hybrid and the Electric have been evaluated by EurotaxGlass’s in Germany, Italy, France, Spain and The Netherlands and by CAP in the UK. The IONIQ Hybrid ranks first in residual value in almost all European countries. The electric version is second-best and on average almost equal in residual value and depreciation to the top-ranking car.
The All-New Hyundai IONIQ is the world’s first car to offer hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains in a single body type. This innovative new approach by Hyundai Motor democratises e-mobility, making low-to-zero emission driving more accessible to everyone.
Especially advantageous for the IONIQ Electric are its low energy consumption, its high quality, spacious interior, enhanced visibility and superior acceleration and deceleration compared to competitors. For both models, Hyundai Motor’s industry-leading Five Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty combined with an 8-year and 200,000 km warranty for the high-voltage battery that is best-in-class was noted favourably. Furthermore, the IONIQ Hybrid’s driving dynamics were ranked higher than those of diesel or hybrid competitors.

Perfect choice for fleets

Our best-in-class warranty for the high-voltage battery takes away uncertainty, and provides peace of mind, supporting and setting our IONIQ clearly apart from competitors. The IONIQ Electric is a perfect alternative for fleets, with its practical driving range of 280 km on a single charge and its short charging times providing greater flexibility for drivers.

Thomas A. Schmid Chief Operating Officer at Hyundai Motor Europe

As well as high residual values and low depreciation, another strong argument for fleets is the electric vehicles’ low maintenance costs. Together with the class-leading warranties and its competitive price, the IONIQ is one of the best-value Eco cars. Among the technical highlights of the product family, the IONIQ Hybrid provides class-leading fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions of just 79 g/km.
