The forecast for average value after three years and 60,000 km increases 6.4 per cent over the previous model year.*
With its model year updates, recently introduced in production, Kona Electric has received a new 10.25-inch infotainment system with Bluelink telematics and connected car services, as well as a 10.5 kW three-phase on-board charger for improved charging times. In addition, the new tyre specifications introduced this year increase the driving range by up to 8 per cent offering up to 484 km (WLTP).
Among the five largest European markets, Kona Electric is predicted to maintain on average 47.2 per cent of its original value**, with residual values ranging from 37.5 per cent to 59.7 per cent in the various markets. These figures are forecast values, based on initial sale price, sales channel mix, specification and other factors, to predict the estimated price after three years and 60,000 km for a dealer trade-in. Respective data was collected in Germany, the UK, Italy, France, and Spain. The data also shows that Kona Electric is predicted to have one of the leading residual values compared to key EV competitors on the market.

The leading residual value forecast in the UK is also reinforced by data published by CAP Automotive, who predict a residual value of 52.3 per cent when trading in Kona Electric at a dealership after three years.

Long range and trendy design contribute to Kona Electric’s success
Kona Electric’s long range is one of the key factors to its success, as range is one of the main criteria customers consider when purchasing an EV. For the latest generation Kona Electric, the 64 kWh battery model can travel up to 484 km on a single charge, and the 39 kWh battery model can drive up to 305 km.

Customer demand for SUVs is at an all-time high, and Kona Electric’s sculpted lines, LED lights, and aerodynamic, 17-inch alloy wheels make it a popular choice.
