Hyundai Motor showcases four impressive concept cars and presents its U.S. debut of the powerful i30 N racing car at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas from October 31 to November 3.
The concept cars were jointly developed by Hyundai Motor America and strong local partners the Aaron Vaccar Company, Rockstar Performance Garage, Blood Type Racing Inc. and Bisimoto Engineering. The SEMA Show is the world-leading trade-only event for automotive specialty products.

Vaccar Tucson Sport and Rockstar Energy Moab Extreme Off-roader Santa Fe Sport

The Vaccar Tucson Sport Concept is built upon the Tucson Sport crossover. The eye-catching concept features an impressive powertrain, design, infotainment system and a full aero-kit for striking looks and performance. It is the result of successful partnership with the Aaron Vaccar Company, modifying more than 20 technical features in all, such as the boostec GTX turbocharger, the R50 blow-off valve and the AEM air intake system. Vaccar offers services for automotive design, project vehicle builds and aftermarket installations using a wide range of parts developed in-house.
Another Hyundai SUV, tuned by Rockstar Performance Garage, is the Rockstar Energy Moab Extreme Off-roader Santa Fe Sport Concept. Leveraging the Santa Fe Sport platform and powertrain, the concept car is able to withstand the ultimate demands of extreme off-roading, tested in Moab, Utah, one of the world’s most challenging off-road regions. The concept features a 6-piston front and 4-piston rear big brake kit, a coil-over suspension or 17-inch Machete off-road wheels among other things. Rockstar Garage is the automotive builder for Rockstar Energy, a renowned U.S. based beverage manufacturer.

BTR Edition Elantra Sport Concept

The third sport concept debuting at SEMA Show is the BTR Edition Elantra taking the versatile performance of the Elantra Sport model to the competitive circuit level in both style and racing substance. By adding a water-methanol injection system, custom intake, exhaust and intercooler technologies and a tuned suspension, the Elantra is an eye-catching concept from the joint project with Blood Type Racing Inc., a one-stop shop for the automotive aftermarket.

HyperEconiq Ioniq Concept

A unique hypermiling-efficiency-oriented concept car at the SEMA Show is the HyperEconiq Ioniq, for which Hyundai combined expertise with Bisimoto Engineering for the sixth consecutive year. Outstanding efficiency gains and excellent driving performance are the result of integrating the best hypermiling, economy and friction technologies. The idea of hypermiling refers to maximising the fuel efficiency of a vehicle, which the HyperEconiq Ioniq achieves by means of a pulse-chamber intake and exhaust system for enhanced volumetric efficiency and low-rolling resistance tyres. Bisimoto is an engineering agency for the design and development of high performance products.

Fun to drive with i30 N

Based on Hyundai Motor’s first high-performance model, the i30 N, the close-to-series-production racecar debuts in the U.S. at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In May 2017, the racing car successfully competed in the ADAC 24-hours race on the Nürburgring, one of the world’s most rigorous durability tests. The i30 N is built to deliver exhilarating driving fun – like the four other concept cars featured for the expert audience at the SEMA Show.
