2015 turned out to be a year full of debuts and records for Hyundai. Hyundai Motor replaced 80% of its model range and announced the launch of a luxury car brand, Genesis. Here are the 2015 highlights
At the 2015 International Geneva Motor Show, Hyundai Motor introduced All-New Tucson. With complete new design, and real customer appeal, the All-New Tucson created a stir in the market of compact SUVs. The designers and engineers created a new game changer for the Hyundai brand – one of the stars of the Show.

Sensational Kick-off: Hyundai Scores a Podium Place at WRC Season Start

It didn´t take Thierry Neuville long to drive the New Generation i20 World Rally Car into the limelight. On the second weekend of the 2015 World Rally Championship (WRC) the Belgian driver claimed a second place on the podium. But that´s not all: with his 44 metre monster jump over “Colin´s Crest” – a notorious crest preceded by a fast series of curves - the 27-year-old managed to set a new record in WRC history, making him the undisputed winner of the “2015 Colin´s Crest Award”

Hyundai N – Born in Namyang, Honed at Nürburgring

Hyundai Motor showcased its new high-performance N sub-brand in September at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The result of intensive testing and product development, Hyundai N builds on the company’s successful motorsport experiences and technology capability. Three dramatic show-cars drew the crowds to the Hyundai booth.

Product Momentum: Youngest-ever Hyundai Line-up in Europe 

With newcomers such as the New i20 Active and the New Santa Fe, Hyundai Motor expanded its youngest-ever line-up in Europe. In 2015 80% of all Hyundai models were either revamped or replaced, making it the youngest product range available.

The All-New Tucson: Favorable in Car Reviews – and With Customers

The All-New Tucson was developed and tested in Europe to meet European requirements.. This effort paid off: automotive journalists and the general press praised the new compact SUV with positive car reviews and comparison tests. What’s more, it quickly found favour with consumers: 85,000 orders were placed in 2015, despite only going on sales in September, making All-New Tucson the fastest-selling new model in Hyundai Motor history.

Hyundai Motor Unveils new Luxury Brand Genesis

2015 also saw the unveiling of Hyundai´s new luxury brand Genesis designed to compete with the world´s most renowned premium cars. Human-focused innovations and athletic elegance are keywords for the Genesis brand which will consist of six models. The first model of the line-up is the G90, a spacious sedan. Five more models will follow as the G range develops.

2016: More Innovations to Come

After a successful year 2015, the New Year looks even more promising. To kick off, Hyundai Motor's new alternative-fuel IONIQ will be unveiled in January. It is the world's first car to offer a choice of three alternative powertrains: Hybrid, electric and plug-in hybrid. Following the world premiere in Korea in January, the IONIQ will be shown during March 2016 at the Geneva International Motor Show.
