- Hyundai Motor will release its first Pan-European content on March 27th involving all five of its domestic club partners; AS Roma, Atlético de Madrid, Chelsea FC, Hertha BSC and Olympique Lyonnais
- The video will bring together 18 stars of European football from across Hyundai’s portfolio of domestic European partners
- Players take on supporting roles within the film, which charts the matchday journey of football fans and establishes Hyundai’s ‘For the Fans’ campaign, to celebrate the influential role of supporters and position them at the heart of all activity
The film features a group of fans from each of Hyundai’s partner clubs: AS Roma, Atlético de Madrid, Chelsea FC, Hertha BSC and Olympique Lyonnais, on their journey to and from a game. A number of star players from across the five clubs take on a range of supporting roles to help and enhance the fans’ matchday experiences.
In total, 18 players feature across the video, including a host of familiar stars from across European football.
‘A Matchday in Europe’ celebrates the influential role that football fans play in following their clubs and reinforces Hyundai’s ‘For the Fans’ communications approach set out at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, positioning fans as the real heroes and putting them centre stage.
A FIFA Top Partner since 1999 and a UEFA partner for 18 years until 2017, Hyundai’s Pan-European club programme is part of an extended football sponsorship strategy that aims to build deeper and more consistent emotional connections with football fans across the continent.
