Hyundai Motor, official partner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™, will bring football fans together to experience and share the passion of the world’s most-popular sport event.
As is tradition at major tournaments, Hyundai Motor will host thousands of football supporters at its hugely-popular Fan Parks, venues where fans can cheer for their teams with friends and family while watching the matches live on large screens. Hosted at five major cities – Berlin (Germany), Madrid (Spain), Torino (Italy), Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Sydney (Australia) – fans will be able to experience the exciting atmosphere of the month-long tournament.
Since their introduction at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™, Hyundai Fan Parks have enabled more than 10 million football fans to enjoy the beautiful game together with friends and fellow supporters.
Mark Hall, Vice President of Marketing at Hyundai Motor Europe, commented: “The FIFA World Cup™ is one of the globe’s most thrilling events and Hyundai is committed to making this tournament more accessible, enjoyable and the most connected ever. The return of the famous Hyundai Fan Parks, as well as the introduction of new social media initiatives means football fans can share their excitement and passion with fellow supporters across Europe and the world.”
Football lovers around the world are now able to share their passion online through Hyundai’s new Pin My Fan Park programme, part of the brand’s dedicated World Cup microsite. The brand’s new online portal allows fans to support their team, show their passion for the game by sharing texts, music, photos and videos, as well as playing games and winning prizes. A special ‘face-painting’ application allows fans to add their team’s national colours to their portrait photos on their profile page.
Additionally, Hyundai Motor recently launched its official FIFA World Cup™ TV commercial featuring the company’s brand ambassadors, Iker Casillas, Ricardo Kaka, and Oscar Emboada. The running advertisement is now available at Hyundai Motor’s World Cup microsite (http://worldcup.hyundai.com), while exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the commercial will also be unveiled at the Hyundai Europe YouTube site.
