Press material

Less than two months after its market launch, the all-new Hyundai i10 has already received a prestigious award.

The German magazine Auto Bild and the independent market observer Schwacke GmbH have named the new Hyundai i10 the "Value Champion 2020" among small city cars.

With a predicted residual value of 61.34 percent after four years at an annual mileage of 11,000 kilometres, the latest generation of the i10 prevailed over established competitors. With this high residual value, the all-new Hyundai i10 is also one of the vehicles with the most consistent value on the market.

We are particularly pleased that our new model has received this special award right from the start. It proves that our commitment to the small car segment is a good decision and that we have developed the Hyundai i10 with a lot of foresight. With its sporty, attractive design and state-of-the-art safety and connectivity features, it meets taste and requirements of our customers. I am convinced that the new i10 will give them great pleasure and value for a long time to come.

Jürgen Keller Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Germany

Evaluation includes numerous criteria

As of 2020, Auto Bild and Schwacke have presented this award to the vehicles with the most constant residual value for the 17th year running. Many hundreds of individual data points were taken into account. These include external factors such as general economic development, new legal requirements, and customer trends. Operating costs, the product concept, design, range of equipment and price are also evaluated. In addition, product quality, the expected total number of units produced, discounts offered by the manufacturer and upcoming model changes are also taken into consideration.

Our 'Wertmeister 2020' award is truly valuable for motorists. A high residual value means a low loss in overall value - and leasing companies and banks reward them with favourable financing rates.

Tom Drechsler Editor-in-Chief Auto of the Bild Group

Vehicles with a low depreciation, such as the new Hyundai i10, remain in high demand even with increasing age and achieve higher prices on the used car market. In the case of Hyundai, the unique five-year manufacturer's warranty without mileage limit also contributes to this. For all new Hyundai cars, the comprehensive Hyundai warranty package is included without charge when the vehicle is purchased from an authorised Hyundai dealer in the European Economic Area or Switzerland.

The all-new Hyundai i10: high-tech safety and connectivity features come standard

The all-new Hyundai i10 sets a new standard among the A-segment in terms of features. It brings to the table many new features which, until now, have usually only been seen in higher vehicle segments. For example, even the entry-level version of the new Hyundai i10 comes standard with the most important safety and driver assistance systems, such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW) and High Beam Assist (HBA). In addition, the Hyundai Bluelink Telematics system allows the driver to connect with the in-vehicle infotainment system via an app. In conjunction with the 8-inch Hyundai navigation system, drivers can take advantage of Hyundai Live Services and the phone mirroring systems Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
